Michael Moore’s original one-man anti-Donald Trump Broadway play began rehearsals in New York City Monday.

During Monday’s performance, the Fahrenheit 9/11 director was reportedly in good spirits and fully accommodating to the estimated 50 theatrical crew members set to work on the play, Page Six reports.

Moore told the New York Times in May that his play, titled The Terms of My Surrender, is a satirical take on a “country that’s just elected a madman — I mean, there’s really no other way to put it.”

The 63-year-old Oscar-winner will roast President Trump, he says, “every night — and twice in the afternoon for 12 weeks” in an effort to “see if a piece of theater could raise enough of a ruckus to discombobulate a man sitting in the Oval Office.”

Moore announced the showcase standing next to a production prop that poses the question: “Can a Broadway show bring down a sitting president?”

Previews for the play will begin July 28 at the Belasco Theater. The production is being directed by Tony-winner Michael Mayer. Tony Award-winner David Rockwell will design the set. Production for the show is being led by IMG Original Content.

Moore also reiterated his hope that President Trump or Vice President Mike Pence and their families attend the Broadway show. The filmmmaker-turned-playwright will reportedly keep one box open at the theater each night with the hope that the president or vice president will attend.

“It’s a comedy — they’ll love it!” Moore said, according to Page Six.
