Border Patrol Union’s Garza: ‘We Cannot Hire Border Patrol Agents Fast Enough’

National Border Patrol Council Local 2455 union president Hector Garza said Sunday on “Fox & Friends Weekend” that there is a huge need for border patrol agents right now to help secure the border.

“Right now we cannot hire border patrol agents fast enough,” Garza told Abby Huntsman. “Right now it takes approximately 18 months to hire, train and deploy border patrol agents to the field. That’s a very long time and we can’t be waiting for those 18 months.”

Garza later added that Trump’s immigration policies are “making a huge difference,” but illegal immigrants trying to cross the border are getting away because they are scared of getting caught.
