Yoko Ono Tweets Pic of John Lennon's Bloody Glasses to Promote Gun Control

Yoko Ono frequently shares the late John Lennon’s music, art and musings with the world to keep the singer’s legacy alive.

This week, Ono employed one of the saddest images associated with the Beatles icon to promote new gun control legislation. She tweeted out an image of Lennon’s bloody glasses, a chilling reminder of how a lone gunman ended the life of the beloved musician back in 1980.

“Over 1,057,000 people have been killed by guns in the USA since John Lennon was shot and killed on 8 Dec 1980,” she wrote on Twitter, with a link to the image. The post was retweeted over 3,000 times….

“31,537 people are killed by guns in the USA every year. We are turning this beautiful country into a war zone.”
