Breaking: Jeremy Clarkson Suspended From Top Gear

Jeremy Clarkson

Jeremy Clarkson Suspended From Top Gear after a “fracas with a producer” the BBC had said. Mr Clarkson was instrumental in the relaunch of Top Gear in 2002 and has been lead presenter ever since.

The BBC has released the following statement: “Following a fracas with a BBC producer, Jeremy Clarkson has been suspended pending an investigation. No one else has been suspended. Top Gear will not be broadcast this Sunday. The BBC will be making no further comment at this time.”

He was already described as having been on his “final warning” following a racism row last year, but Top Gear is the BBCs most profitable show because of its international appeal. It is thought to bring in £300m a year for BBC Worldwide, and Clarkson himself is paid an annual salary of £1m.
