When Bill Clinton Lost His 'Biscuit'

Last night, while watching ABC News (ok, I get it- but, given the other choices to watch, this was the least offensive) Dianne Sawyer introduced a report where Bill Clinton supposedly lost the ‘biscuit‘; that is, the unlock codes for the Nuclear Football and the codes that allow him to confirm to forces commanders that he is, indeed, the CinC and not a (likely) Soviet impersonator.

This process, in place since the days of the Cold War, is meant to be used to allow the CinC to launch retaliatory strikes against incoming missiles, detonations on US soil, or major attacks. Of the items that are key to being President, this is one of the most important, and most lethal, that ANY human on this earth is responsible for.

Yet, it appears he treated it as if it were just another ‘ID card’ he kept in his wallet. The only ‘biscuit’ ol’ thunderpants was worried about was which ‘biscuit’ he was chasing around the Resolute desk. Or what the biscuits were under his gravy in his breakfast that morning.

I mean, I have carried my AOPA, Legion, VFW (until recently) and other ID forms for over a decade without being more than a couple feet from them. Credit cards? Lost? Not in decades. Not even stolen..yet. But nuke codes? WTF needs those, right?

‘I’ll never use them so why worry’ seems to have been his mantra.

See, the real issue here is these doofuses have never been in uniform; have never had to maintain accountability for ANYTHING. Carter? Well hell yes. I don’t have an answer as to why HE may have lost them- but Clinton? Since they’ve never actually been held accountable for anything larger than their house, they have no reason to start now. Plus, they have ‘tenders’ who do everything for them, so they’re used to just letting it go.

My question now is:

Hey Barry- where’s YOUR biscuit? And I’m not talking about the one down in Martinique, either.

Democrats do NOT take this stuff seriously- why should they? What are the chances that they would ever launch anything? Or respond to it? If the real ‘threat’ today is a dirty bomber, how is that requiring a strategic response with nukes? We’re talking nuclear stuff here- an absolutely disgusting topic to Lefty’s in line with nuke power. HOW could they even allow themselves to speak of it? For them, its the ‘that-which-we-must-not-speak-of’ topic. Plus, given that Barry is in negotiations with the Russians to ‘rid’ ourselves of nukes entirely, what of it?

Short answer- Iran.

The threat does not have to be against our homeland- the threat is just as much against our friends/allies (what few we have left, thank you Barry). And with Britain shutting down seemingly half its military, think they’ll have the ability? I doubt it. France? Do they even HAVE them anymore?

This is more than just a strategic capability we’re talking here- we’re talking what it means to the rest of the globe- after the debacles the last few years with Strategic Command losing it cred with nukes and handling procedures, how can we have ‘the boss’ doing even worse? I’m told horrendous stories of the ‘football drills’ going so badly because WH staff won’t take it seriously- and of presidents that won’t even attend them/practice them even for familiarity sake. The fact that they would relegate such a hugely important process to a lesser status than a foot-scrub is telling- sending some underling to attend to it and never doing it is irresponsible, to say the least.

Maybe, they need this biscuit instead:
