President Donald Trump ridiculed Congressional Democrats for holding a hearing Monday with President Nixon’s former counsel John Dean.

“John Dean’s been a loser for many years,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “So I’ve been watching him on one of the networks.”

Dean is a CNN contributor who attacks the president on a regular basis.

“I think he’s been disbarred and he went to prison, so he’s been doing a good job,” Trump said mockingly.

The president commented on the hearing as he recognized the winner of the Indy 500 race at the White House.
Trump dismissed reporter questions on the possibility of impeachment.

“You can’t impeach somebody when there’s never been a thing done wrong,” he said. “When you look at past impeachments. … I don’t leave, there’s a big difference, I don’t leave.”

Trump also commented on the hearing earlier on Monday on Twitter.

“No Collusion – No Obstruction!” he wrote. “Democrats just want a do-over which they’ll never get!”
