Vikings QB Christian Ponder Out with Elbow Injury

Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder will not play on Saturday against the Green Bay Packers due to an elbow injury.

Backup quarterback Joe Webb, who has not thrown a pass this season, will start in Ponder’s place when the Vikings play the Packers at Green Bay in a first-round playoff game. 

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Webb will be the first NFL quarterback to start a playoff game after not having attempted a pass during the regular season.
