Bay Area, Houston to Host Super Bowls

Santa Clara California will host the 50th Super Bowl in 2016 while Houston, Texas (Reliant Stadium) will host Super Bowl LI in 2017.

NFL owners voted on Tuesday that San Francisco’s new stadium, which is set to open for the 2014 season, will host the game, marking only the second time the Bay Area has hosted the Super Bowl. The only Super Bowl that has been played in North California was at Stanford Stadium in 1985.

Miami, Florida got shutout because of the trouble because Florida’s legislature voted not to renovate Sun Life Stadium, which is where the Dolphins play.
