Rumor: 'Money' Mayweather Bet $5.9 Million on Miami to Cover Spread–and Won

Boxer Floyd “money” Mayweather may have laid down a $5.9 million bet on the Miami Heat to cover the point spread in Monday night’s game against the Indiana Pacers and won a cool $6.49 million.

Mayweather reportedly made the bet after signing a six-fight, $200-million deal with Showtime. He agreed to fight Canelo Alvarez in September for $40 million. The boxer is known for bragging about his gambling exploits.

Miami was a seven-point favorite and ended up winning the game 99-76, more than covering the spread.
