After an employee of the Carolina Panthers died from jumping from an interstate overpass bridge, police discovered that she had also murdered her children beforehand.

Police and friends and family have few answers as to why Charlotte-Mecklenburg resident Christina Treadway murdered her 7-year-old son Isaiah Miller, and her 3-year-old daughter Iliyah Miller and then killed herself with her fatal jump from a bridge over I-485, according to People magazine.

As a ticket taker for the Carolina Panthers, Treadway was known as Tina Lateena by the team and her co-workers and all were shocked by the woman’s actions.

A Youtube channel featuring several videos of Treadway’s children seems to show a happy family. On the page, Treadway described herself as “A mom who loves her kids and glam!” The channel also featured a video dedicated to the children’s father saying, “My love for you is so BIG it has reached all over the world!”

Police were called to the bridge after Treadway jumped to her death on Saturday, January 13. Soon they arrived at the suicide victim’s apartment to find her two children seriously injured with wounds that have remained undisclosed by authorities.

The children were taken to a hospital where they died of their injuries.

Police say that the father of the children was out with friends when Treadway acted. Antoine Miller told police he got a text message telling him that she loves him and is sorry for what she was about to do.

Treadway’s family were also shocked by the incident.

“She was a great mom,” the children’s grandmother, Tina Moore, told the media. “She was really, really a great girl. I love Tina to death, but she was just troubled. I don’t know what happened because she came and stayed at my house for the summer. I don’t know what happen, she just lost it.”

Greg Moore, the children’s grandfather, noted that his son knew Treadway for about ten years and everyone is confused by her actions.

“I just feel bad they won’t be able to grow up and be the good people they are supposed to be. I told my son, ‘you’re going to have to live their life for them, and we’re not going to forget them.'” the senior Moore said.

The grandparents set up a GoFundMe page to help defer costs for the funeral arrangements. The father has also set up a GoFundMe page for his children.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Major Mike Smathers said that the investigation is ongoing and the department is not ready to make any further statements.
