Double-A baseball player and former Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, has landed on the disabled list after suffering a hand injury on July 19th.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies manager Luis Rojas said that the popular player has already submitted to X-rays and an MRI on Friday, but the team scheduled him to see a specialist on Monday and placed him on the DL for a seven-day hold, Sporting News reported.

The Rumble Ponies reported the news in a roster update on Saturday:

“He’s one of our able players, but he’s not able to swing,” Rojas told the media. “We’re really tentative to use him in any other area. The organization and our medical trainer required him to go to New York as soon as possible. We have to find out what the discomfort is. We just have to make sure that it’s nothing major.”

Rojas added that the team would not make any further determinations until the results from the specialist are in.

Tebow is batting .273 for the season. He has six home runs and 36 RBIs. But he also has a team-high 103 strikeouts.
