A grand jury in Collin County, Texas, decided evidence presented against former McKinney Police Officer Eric Casebolt was inadequate to warrant an indictment. The former 10-year McKinney police veteran was seen in last summer’s McKinney pool party gone wild YouTube video wrestling a young black girl to the ground.

McKinney Officials Respond to Casebolt’s Resignation

McKINNEY, Texas — The Mayor and Police Chief of the City of McKinney responded in a press conference to the resignation of Corporal Eric Casebolt Tuesday afternoon. Casebolt resigned following the release of a video showing him wrestling a bikini-clad teenage girl to the ground after she failed to comply with commands and resisted being detained.

McKinney Police Officer Eric Casebolt Resigns

McKINNEY, Texas — McKinney Police Corporal Eric Casebolt announced his resignation from the department Tuesday afternoon. Casebolt was the officer in the YouTube video by Brandon Brooks who wrestled a teenage girl to the ground after she refused to leave the scene and resisted his attempts to restrain her.
