Israel Believes Terror Arsonists Acted After Initial Wildfires

Amid signs that the wave of wildfires that have blighted Israel since Tuesday was being brought under control, Israeli security officials on Saturday night gave preliminary indications that weather was the prime cause of the initial blazes but that arsonists increasingly jumped on the bandwagon increasingly from Wednesday and into the weekend.

Israel Approves Emergency Financial Aid For Fire Victims

Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon approved on Saturday evening a stipend of 2,500 shekels ($650) per person for those who have fled the raging fires nationwide over the past five days and could not return to their homes either because they were destroyed or are currently uninhabitable.
