As time has passed since the fateful events of September 26, 2014, parents of those missing students have gotten more questions than answers, and developed a deeper mistrust of the Mexican government.

Authorities recovered some weapons, a grenade, 15 kilograms of marijuana and communication equipment during the arrest, information released to Breitbart Texas by the Tamaulipas government revealed.

Last week, a number of independent news outlets announced a team effort to create an anti-corruption outlet called #Mexicoleaks. Seven more Mexican Federales police officers have been arrested in connection with a kidnapping and extortion racket in the border city of Matamoros. The Mexican federales have been accused of kidnapping Saul Hernandez Bautista who had previously served as the Matamoros Public Safety director, Mexico’s El Norte newspaper reported.
The body of a kidnapped journalist from the Mexican state of Veracruz has been found after weeks of searching, and the former police officer accused of killing him is claiming that the mayor of an area town ordered the murder.
The Governor of the Mexican State of Chiapas has drawn much criticism in Mexico after a video of him slapping an aide went viral. The newly surfaced video is from an event promoting Governor Manuel Velasco’s Second State of the State Address held last month.
A jailed Mexican politician and his wife have now been formally charged with kidnapping for their alleged role in ordering the disappearance of 43 education students in Mexico who were taken by police officers and then executed by cartel members.
