New Relief Effort Records First Saved Migrant Lives in South Texas

A new program aimed at saving the lives of lost migrants recorded its first saves this week. The program places unique signs at key locations instructing lost migrants to call 911 for assistance. The calls help Border Patrol agents save time in the rescue and apprehension of those lost.

‘False Compassion of Open Borders’ Leads to Deaths in Texas County, Says Sheriff

A Texas sheriff tasked with recovering the bodies of illegal immigrants who die while being smuggled around a checkpoint 80 miles from the Mexican border says the “false compassion” of open borders is to blame. This year, his deputies recovered the decomposing bodies or skeletal remains of more than 30 who were left to die by their smugglers.

Border Patrol Arrests MS-13 Member, Sex Offenders 80 Miles into Texas

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector arrested several criminal aliens attempting to sneak around immigration checkpoints located about 80 miles north of the Mexican border. They had arrests and/or convictions for sexual offenses and kidnapping. Agents also arrested an MS-13 member.

More Migrant Remains Discovered in Texas 80 Miles from Mexican Border

The death toll of illegal immigrants abandoned by human smugglers in South Texas continues to rise with the this week’s discovery of two sets of human remains. Border Patrol agents and sheriff’s deputies recovered the remains of the deceased migrants in two counties approximately 80 miles from the Texas border with Mexico.

Texas Sheriff Arrests Smuggler with 57 Migrants in Tractor-Trailer

A Texas sheriff ordered the arrest of an 18-wheeler driver allegedly found smuggling 57 migrants from the Rio Grande Valley. Border Patrol agents made the discovery of the human cargo loaded in the back of a locked tractor-trailer at an inspection checkpoint 80 miles from the Mexican border.

Deputies in South Texas are in the process of recovering the badly decomposed bodies of five migrants who appeared to have died from exposure during this week’s freezing weather conditions. The deaths occurred in Brooks County where it appears the migrants were attempting to circumvent the U.S. Border Patrol Checkpoint located south of Falfurrias.

Two Migrants Found Dead in South Texas

Officials in one South Texas county report finding the remains of two migrants in the ranchlands surrounding a Border Patrol checkpoint. The deaths are the first two reported in this county for 2018.

One Texas County Reports 52 Dead Migrants in 2017

In 2017, the bodies or remains of 52 illegal aliens were found in one South Texas county. They died at the hands of human smugglers attempting to move them around the centrally-located U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint.
