Migrant Family Apprehensions Quadrupled in 2019

The apprehension of migrants who illegally crossed the border between ports of entry nearly during the first four months of the fiscal year nearly doubled the previous year’s numbers for the same period.

Unaccompanied Minors Housed by Feds Up 450 Percent After DACA

The number of unaccompanied migrant children housed by the federal government jumped by more than 450 percent following President Barack Obama’s implementation of the DACA program in 2012. Government programs provided shelter to about 8,000 per year prior to implementation. After, the numbers jumped exponentially to an average of more than 44,000 annually.

DHS: Two NY MS-13 Stabbing Suspects Exploited Unaccompanied Minor Loophole to Enter U.S.

Two of the three suspects in the MS-13 gang-related assault of a Long Island teenager exploited the unaccompanied minor loophole after crossing the border illegally in South Texas, a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official told Breitbart News. The two unaccompanied minors were transported to the New York area where they later allegedly carried out a vicious attack on a group of Huntington High School teens.

Groups of 100 Central American Migrants Apprehended at Texas Border

Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector apprehended two large groups of Central American migrants who illegally crossed the border. The groups, consisting of nearly 100 family units and unaccompanied minors, surrendered to Border Patrol agents after they illegally entered the U.S. from Mexico in two separate incidents.

Texas Shelters Overwhelmed with Influx of Migrant Children

Immigration shelters in Texas are being overwhelmed by the massive numbers of unaccompanied minors who crossed the border from Mexico in recent months. The influx of migrant children placed more than 5,000 minors into shelters, according to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHS).
