Actor Woody Harrelson has lent his voice for climate change in a brand new advertisement titled “Our Fight” that calls out global warming skeptics and urges those concerned about environmental issues to head to the polls on Nov. 4.
According to Variety, the 30-second spot, which features leading climate change skeptic David Koch, was directed by Darren Aronofsky and will air during the world series and in primetime in several key states.
“They told us the world was flat and insisted it was the center of the universe. They ignored pollution, said that cigarettes were harmless… Now they tell us climate change is a hoax. Some powerful people want to hold us back, but the truth is undeniable. This is a fight we will win,” says Harrelson.
The commercial comes one week before the midterm elections and was financed by Tom Steyer’s NextGen Climate Action Committee, which has reportedly spent more than $50 million in congressional and state races this election cycle.
