Boehner Video: Obama Willing to Negotiate with Putin But Not GOP

While almost all of the mainstream media pretends that calling the GOP's approach to budget negotiations "disastrous" is nothing more than unbiased analysis, House Speaker John Boehner's office released a 68 second video that hits president Obama for his willingness to negotiate with Russian President Vladmir Putin over Syria but not the GOP over the budget. 'Foyle's War Set Seven' Review: Splendid British Series Fights the Cold War

From The Sopranos to Sons of Anarchy to Mad Men, America is not only enjoying an unprecedented Golden Age of Television, but also the rise of the anti-hero; the flawed and even evil protagonist who we  find ourselves rooting for. Our friends in Britain, though, are proving with Foyle's War that a scrupulous protagonist can still make for compelling drama. Sep 18, 2013 11:45 AM PT

Ratings: America Turns to Fox News During Navy Yard Shooting

After years of shrill bias and embarrassing bungles, CNN long ago lost its crown as the Most Trusted Name in News, especially during major national events. Monday, during and after the horrific mass-shooting at the Navy Yard, America once again proved that true. Fox News trounced its competition in both total viewers and 25-54 demo viewers. Ratings: Only Piers Morgan Lost to MSNBC Night of Shooting

Though Fox News now dominates the cable news ratings during galvanizing national events like Monday's Navy Yard shooting massacre, CNN has of late beat MSNBC for second place; which it did Monday night -- except for Piers Morgan. Although Morgan immediately went into his default position of exploiting a mass-shooting for ratings, his primetime hour is the only one that lost to MSNBC the night of the shooting. Obama's Former Defense Secretaries Slam Syria Bungle

It is not only that President Obama has so bungled his handling of Syria that even the media are unable to whitewash it, but neither are the president's first two defense secretaries, Leon Panetta and Robert Gates. The New York Times reports that during a forum in Dallas, both of Obama's former Cabinet officials blistered Obama for backing off his redline, trusting Russia to disarm Syria, and displaying weakness to Iran. Jon Stewart: CNN's Navy Yard Misinformation 'Deliberate'

Comedian Jon Stewart opened his serious/comedic segment by saying, "For sheer accumulation of breathless wrongness, there is only one source that matters…." After the chuckles quiet, Stewart gets serious and accuses CNN of deliberately spreading misinformation. Sep 18, 2013 7:10 AM PT

Politico: 'What's Right About Obama ... His Smile Remains Dazzling'

Tuesday, in an effort to turn the political conversation to gun control and manipulate the conversation, the left-wing Politico falsely claimed in its lead article that "talk turns to gun control." As if that wasn't embarrassing enough, Wednesday morning's co-lead at Politico tells readers that something that remains "right with Obama" is that "his smile remains dazzling." FRIEND: Navy Yard Shooter Liberal, Supported Obama

Ritrovato went on to explain that two of them had a close relationship based in part on their differences, specifically race and politics. Alexis was black, Ritrovato is white. Ritrovato described himself as conservative and Alexis is "more of a liberal type" who supported Barack Obama. Sep 17, 2013 1:50 PM PT

BuzzFeed Falsely Claims AR-15 Used in Navy Yard Shooting

While the left-wing BuzzFeed made the bizarre decision to try and make the NRA's respectful silence part of the story surrounding Monday's Navy Yard shooting massacre, the outlet now probably wishes they had taken the NRA's lead. Sep 17, 2013 1:11 PM PT

'Friday the 13th: The Complete Blu-ray Collection' Review: 13 Discs of Slasher Heaven

You never know how as an adult you will react to what you enjoyed as a child or teenager. After all, the "Friday the 13th" franchise was aimed right at my teenage sweet spot. The debut film was released the summer of my 14th year and its heyday lasted straight through to my high school graduation. I was the demo, and many a Saturday night was spent with friends at the dollar theatre or in front of HBO laughing at the exploits of Jason Vorhees. Sep 17, 2013 11:20 AM PT

Poll: 51% Favor Government Shutdown to Cut Health Care Costs

In a poll released Tuesday, one day after President Obama slammed Republicans for what he dishonestly described as a "government shutdown," Rasmussen has found that when it comes to cutting health care costs, a majority of 51% favor "having a partial government shutdown until Democrats and Republicans agree on what spending for the health care law to cut." MSNBC Still Airing Debunked Graphic Showing Navy Yard Shooter With AR-15

The photo above is a screen shot of MSNBC taken Tuesday at 12:08pm ET, hours after the FBI confirmed that Navy Yard shooter, Aaron Alexis, used a shotgun and two pistols during Monday's rampage that killed 12. Regardless of these facts, MSNBC continues to use a computer graphic that clearly shows the shooter with an AR-15. Sep 17, 2013 9:28 AM PT

AR-15: Anti-Gun Narrative Blows Up In Face of CNN, Daily News

Tuesday's New York Daily News cover story is nothing more than a long-form editorial that attempts to make the AR-15 (a semiautomatic sport rifle) the bad guy in Monday's horrific Navy Yard shooting. Last night, CNN attempted to do the same through blowhard Piers Morgan. But there is just one problem: CNN and The Daily News are 100% wrong. The FBI has just confirmed that a shotgun and two pistols were recovered, and that the "gunman was NOT armed with [an] AR-15." Sep 17, 2013 7:58 AM PT

Politico Wants to Pretend that 'Talk Turns to Gun Control'

In its Tuesday lead piece, the left-wing Politico attempts to "manipulate lead the conversation" with an article titled: "After Shooting, Talk Turns to Gun Control." This is wishcasting on Politico's part, not reporting; this is Politico pushing an agenda, not documenting what is actually happening; this is Politico hoping to craft a reality, not reporting on a reality. Suspected Navy Yard Shooter: Soft-Spoken Buddhist, Recently Traveled to Thailand

A profile is starting to emerge of the man law enforcement says is responsible for the mass-murder of 12 people Monday at Washington's Navy Yard. Aaron Alexis was a full-time Navy reservist between 2007 and 2011. A former roommate also says Alexis was a Buddhist who "liked to meditate" and, as a computer defense contractor, recently visited Japan and Thailand. Sep 16, 2013 2:50 PM PT
