Hillary Clinton Tweets For Gun Control: Virginia Attack Shows ‘We Cannot Wait Any Longer’

In the wake of the heinous attack which took the lives of WDBJ-TV’s Allison Parker and Adam Ward, Hillary Clinton tweeted that she is “angry” over “gun violence” and that action has to be taken now.

Clinton wrote: “Heartbroken and angry. We must act to stop gun violence, and we cannot wait any longer. Praying for the victims’ families in Virginia.”

It should be noted that the phrase “gun violence” has long been a whipping boy the left resorts to in order to stir up support for more gun control laws. They show great anger at this abstraction, thereby focusing on guns rather than the criminals who use guns for wicked ends.

Breitbart News previously reported that Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe (D) also used the attack on Parker and Ward to call for more gun control.

While the police pursuit of the gunman was still underway McAuliffe called for background check legislation. He said, “Twice I have brought legislation before the general assembly. Twice I have asked that we have background checks. Twice now they have rejected background checks.” He went on to say there are “individuals in this country who should not be allowed to own a firearm and it’s just tragic that this kind of legislation cannot be passed and signed into law.”

When questioned by a reporter, McAuliffe admitted he did not know if the gunman was a permit holder or if he had passed a background check for his gun.
