A crowd of moviegoers was nearly sent into a full on revolt Thursday at a Los Angeles theater, after a projector broke down during a late-night screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and then skipped ahead to a later spot in the film.

Numerous videos posted online captured the moment Star Wars fans, many of whom had waited in line for hours, lost their cool at Hollywood’s Arclight Cinemas, when the projector failed late in the film.

Some audience members stood and stared back at the projector booth, while others anxiously groaned. One man on the video can be heard repeatedly yelling, “Noooooooo!”

Another man could also be heard screaming, “This is so f—ked up!”

When the film resumed, the audience was further distressed by the fact that it had skipped to a later part of the movie.

A Facebook post by Erik Melendez read: “Projector at Star Wars midnight 3D show at the Arclight ruined, stopped, then started again towards the end of the movie. The movie was spoiled and everyone in the theater went crazy.”

Melendez told CBS the glitch “kind of ruined our night.”

The Arclight reportedly offered refunds and gave out free movie vouchers.

Kristin Nepi said of the theater, “They were apologetic, but you really can’t get that first time experience watching a Star Wars film. You can’t get that back.”

Several moviegoers took to social media to share their disappointment:
