Carney Walks Back Obama’s Claim That All Members Of Congress Were Briefed On NSA Spying

In today’s White House Press briefing, Fox News’ Ed Henry asked Jay Carney about Obama’s statement, last week, that every member of Congress was briefed on the NSA surveillance program.  Several members of Congress have come out since then to say that had not been briefed on the program. 

Carney, reading rapidly from his script, answered that “the Chair and ranking member of the Intelligence Committee made clear that every member was advised of this, and had the opportunity for briefings.”
