Jihad John Was Refused Entry To Tanzania Because He Was Drunk

Mohammed Emwazi, the terrorist killer known as Jihad John, was refused entry to Tanzania because he got off the plane “very drunk” and was abusive to passengers on the flight from Amsterdam. He travelled to the Tanzania in 2009 with two other terrorists in the hope of crossing the border to Somalia to fight with Jihadists in the country.

Since Emwazi was exposed as being Jihad John there have been reports he took a KLM flight to Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania in May 2009. It is was also known he was refused entry to the country, but most had assumed it was a result of intelligence about his intention to commit acts of terror.

Today The Times reports the true reason was his behaviour on the flight and his condition when he arrived. Mathias Chikawe, Tanzania’s home affairs minister, said that the pilot of the flight had warned authorities about the behaviour of Emwazi and his two accomplices, so immigration staff were waiting for them when they arrived.

Mr Chikawe told The Times: “They were insulting our immigration staff and other people… They failed to explain why they had come to Tanzania.”

He added: “The immigration department put them in custody on advice from the pilot that he would not carry them back to Amsterdam… There was no information from anywhere that they were criminal suspects.”

Emwazi was travelling with Ali Adorus, from East London, who has since been jailed in Ethiopia for terrorism offences and Marcel Schrodl a German national. He subsequently claimed the three were in Africa to go on safari, a claim that has been widely discredited since.

Although Emwazi failed to make it into Somalia he did later travel to Syria were he has beheaded a number of journalists and aid workers. He is now one of the worlds most wanted men.
