Ahmen Hassan, the 18-year-old man arrested in connection with the Parson’s Green bombing is to appear before a judge Friday afternoon charged with attempted murder.

The man, who has been reported to be an Iraqi migrant, has been charged with an attempt to “murder persons travelling on a District Line Train from Wimbledon”, and having maliciously caused an “explosion of a nature likely to endanger life or to cause serious injury to property”.

The charges are both of a criminal nature, and are not brought from counter-terrorism acts on Britain’s statute books.

Three other males remain in custody and are yet to be charged. Two men were released without charge or further action by Police Thursday.

Breitbart London reported Friday morning on the nature of the explosive device, which didn’t fully detonate but burnt in a flash fireball instead. Speaking to Nick Ferrari on LBC radio on Friday, Metropolitan Police Commander Dick said of the device: “That was a very, very dangerous bomb. It partially detonated, it had a large quantity of explosive and it was packed with shrapnel.

“It could have been so much worse than it was.”
