Report: Facebook’s Hate Speech Detection Tools Will ‘Deprioritize’ Hateful Conduct Towards Whites, Men

Tech giant Facebook has reportedly launched a major overhaul of its hate speech policing algorithms, which will include reengineering the automated moderation systems to detect and remove hateful languages that it considers the “worst of the worst.” Internal documents reportedly show that Facebook will prioritize detecting and removing hateful comments directed at black people, Muslims, the LGBT community, and Jews. The company will also “deprioritize” hateful comments made towards white people, Americans, and men.

Twitter Expands Hate Speech Rules

Twitter has once again expanded its hate speech policies to “prohibit language that dehumanizes people on the basis of race, ethnicity, or national origin.”

Christopher Columbus Expert ‘Appalled’ by Notre Dame’s Censorship of Murals Featuring Explorer

The University of Notre Dame announced over the summer that it would cover 12 murals of Christopher Columbus with tapestries inspired by Native American artwork. Now former Stanford professor Carol Delaney, who wrote a book examining Christopher Columbus’ legacy, is speaking out.  Delaney says she is “appalled” by Notre Dame’s censorship, claiming Columbus is “not the man” social justice activists claim.

YouTube Deletes Video About Joe Biden’s Position on Transgender Children as ‘Harassment’

Google-owned video platform YouTube has deleted a video that discusses Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s position on transgender children. According to YouTube, discussing the candidate’s position falls afoul of its policy against “harassment and cyberbullying.” The platform reinstated the video without explanation after YouTuber Benjamin Boyce appealed the decision.

Twitter Temporarily Suspends Sidney Powell

Lawyer Sidney Powell was temporarily suspended from Twitter, with some alleging that she was suspended for linking to a news article relating to election interference. Although she has not posted since the suspension, she has retweeted others on Monday, indicating her account was likely locked for 12 hours by the social media Masters of the Universe.
