Teen Kills at Least Nine Eighth Graders in Russian School Shooting

At least nine fatalities were reported on Tuesday when a gunman attacked a school the southwestern Russian city of Kazan. According to regional governor Rustam Minnikhanov, seven of the dead were eighth-grade students at the school, while the killer is a 19-year-old “terrorist” who is now in custody.

China Blames ‘Abrupt’ U.S. Withdrawal for Violence in Afghanistan

The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Sunday blamed the United States for the surge of violence in Afghanistan, including Saturday’s bombing massacre at a girls’ school in Kabul, because the U.S. was supposedly irresponsible to withdraw its forces so “abruptly” from Afghanistan after twenty years of deployment.

Kurds Warn Islamic State ‘Back with a Vengeance’ in Iraq

Kurdish Gen.
