Federal Reserve Bomber Idolizes Dead Bin Laden

Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, the 21 year-old Muslim who attempted to blow up the Federal Reserve Building in New York City and was caught in a sting operation, was a devotee of Osama Bin Laden and al Qaeda.

Al Qaeda issued the following directive on February 23, 1998:

In compliance with God’s order, we issue the following fatwa to all Muslims: The ruling to kill the Americans and their allies — civilians and military — is an individual duty for every Muslim who can do it in any country in which it is possible to do it.

That fatwa drove the 9/11 attacks, that fatwa drove the three al-Qaeda operatives plotting to conduct a suicide bombing attack against the New York City subway system in 2009,and that fatwa still inspires young radical Muslims to this day.

On or about July 5, 2012, the FBI agent involved in the sting received a call from Nafis in which he said all Muslims and Muslim sheiks in the United States were “Talafi,” which meant “not true Muslims.” Nafis said he admired Sheikh “O,” understood to be Osama bin Laden, and that he admired the magazine starting with “I,” understood to be the al-Qaeda-affiliate-sponsored publication “Inspire.” He also described the United States as “dar al-harb”, which means “land of war” in Arabic.

On or about July 11, 2012, a third party Nafis had recruited told the FBI agent that NAFIS wanted to attack and kill a high-ranking government official.

On or about July 24,2012, Nafis said:

What I really mean, is that I don’t want something that’s like, small. I just want something big. Something very big. Very, very, very, very big, that will shake the whole country, that will make America, not one step ahead, change of policy, and make one step ahead, for the Muslims . . . that will make us one step closer to run the whole world …

On or about October 12, 2012, Nafis gave another FBI agent a thumb drive containing an article he had written about his motivations for his attack, which included quotations from “our beloved Sheikh Osama bin Laden” to justify the fact that his plot likely involved the killing of women and children.

When Barack Obama brags about his killing of Osama Bin Laden, he conveniently ignores the fact that there are thousands of young radical Muslims who still will die for the honor of serving Bin Laden’s name and al Qaeda’s. As CNN reported:

A pro-al Qaeda group responsible for a previous armed assault on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi is the chief suspect in Tuesday’s attack that killed the U.S. ambassador to Libya, sources tracking militant Islamist groups in eastern Libya say. They also note that the attack immediately followed a call from al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri for revenge for the death in June of Abu Yahya al-Libi, a senior Libyan member of the terror group.

Al Qaeda is alive and well and looking to do more damage with thousands of young men willing to join them.  And no matter how much Barack Obama puffs himself up, killing Bin Laden was not the panacea for the al Qaeda terrorist threat.
