Exclusive—Jenny Beth Martin: Trump Takes on Fraud
President Donald Trump’s decision to tackle fraud against taxpayers is both good policy and good politics.

President Donald Trump’s decision to tackle fraud against taxpayers is both good policy and good politics.

One of the most important things our national leaders can do – and, yes, I’m looking at you, President Trump – is to speak to us in positive terms about the hopeful future they see for us when we come out of the current crisis.

In America, we are known for having thoughtful discussions about painful topics. But as the federal, state, and even municipal governments around the country are making decisions and taking actions to respond to the threat of the coronavirus, I can’t help but wonder – when did I fall asleep in America and wake up elsewhere?

A most difficult political situation in Venezuela has a direct impact on the United States and our ability to maintain our energy and national security. The world’s largest proven petroleum reserves must not fall into the hands of Russia or China.

The Supreme Court properly ruled on Friday in favor of the Trump Administration and against the Sierra Club, which improperly sued the government in an attempt to exploit our legal system and interfere with the will of the American people.

It was one year ago this week that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) implemented its reversal of the Obama-era regulations of the Internet, known as “net neutrality.” The positive results over the past year tell a powerful story about why government should not be in the business of regulating the Internet.

What is the purpose of an immigration policy? Is it to benefit the interests of the nation that constructs and implements it, or is to benefit the immigrants who stand to gain from it?

H.R. 1, the Democrats’ brazenly named “For the People Act,” seeks to take legitimate, protected legislative speech and turn it into “political” speech subject to onerous and burdensome regulation.

Jenny Beth Martin writes, “President Trump knocked it out of the park Tuesday evening in his second State of the Union address.”

Mr. President: You were elected President in 2016 largely on the basis of your promise to “drain the swamp.” Those who voted for you did so in the belief that you would be the first president in their lifetimes to actually follow through on his promise to end business as usual in Washington.

A central part of President Donald Trump’s winning campaign platform last year was that American interests and – this is key – Americans’ interests should be the foundation of U.S. policymaking. The America First message resonated with American voters who had felt during previous administrations that America’s interests were a mere afterthought in the policy sphere. Trump voiced the right message, at the right time, and he won because of it.

Tea Party Patriots, the country’s largest tea party activist group, is opposed to the Iran Deal. While we have historically always steered clear of foreign policy issues, instead focusing on pressing domestic issues such as out-of-control federal spending, the Iran Deal is such an egregious example of executive overreach and recklessness that we have decided to fully engage on this fight.

In my very short USA Today op-ed – which was originally accepted for publication months ago – I made the point that politicians often change their minds, and I argued that there is nothing inherently wrong with changing one’s mind or policy positions if they are changing to the right position and if the change is sincere. As the leader of a grassroots organization that aims to build a broad coalition and which recognizes that the growth and success of any political movement necessitates a welcoming attitude toward those who once held views in opposition, but who now have adjusted those views, I stand by those statements.

It’s for real. Tonight, Sen. Mike Lee of Utah plans to offer an amendment to H.R. 22, the “Hire More Heroes Act” – that’s the House-passed vehicle the Senate is using as a placeholder for a six-year highway funding bill.

The Export-Import Bank (often referred to as simply the “Ex-Im Bank”) is one of the most corrupt entities in Washington, DC.

Last Wednesday, thousands of Tea Party Patriots visited the district / state offices of their representatives in Congress to protest the shady special exemption from Obamacare that Congress and their staffs currently enjoy. All told, our rallies took place all across the country at more than 500 offices.

For decades now, the largest political gap in this nation has not been the gap between Republicans and Democrats, nor even that between conservatives and liberals – it has been the gap between the Washington Ruling Class on the one hand, and the rest of us who pay for them on the other. And no issue provides a contrast as stark as Congress’ special exemption.

Two weeks ago, The Border States of America premiered to great fanfare in Los Angeles. Justified’s Nick Searcy, our documentary’s host, was both gracious with his time at the premiere, and courageous to take a stand on such a critical

For the past six years, the Obama Administration has invited and encouraged the wretched humanitarian crisis we now find on the Republic’s southern border. The president declared – in brazen violation of statutory and Constitutional law – that the government

Watching congressional Democrats and Republicans wrestle over the budget is a little like watching Thelma and Louise. Democrats want to stomp on the gas pedal and race to the edge of the cliff at top speed, while Republicans want merely

Since the IRS admitted to targeting Tea Party Patriots, we have learned the importance of honoring and defending every word in the First Amendment. The First Amendment to the US Constitution is on trial today at the Supreme Court. On

It is easy in politics to say that a win is a win is a win. Liberals are popping corks over former Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe’s victory over Republican Ken Cuccinelli in the race for governor of Virginia.

Leave it to establishment Republicans to sacrifice policy on the altar of tactics. As the partial government shutdown rolls into its second week and the so-called debt ceiling deadline draws nearer, we’re beginning to see cracks in a previously unified

When Establishment Republicans and their Democrat comrades claim there is no path to victory in the fight to defund Obamacare, they are intentionally muddying the waters. Do not confuse blundering political expedience with winning. There is a clear path to

On 9/10 Tea Party Patriots will descend on Washington to provide their federal representatives with something they apparently don’t have–a clue. That clue is that the citizens want Congress to exempt America from Obamacare, just like they’ve exempted big special

Just last week one of the key authors of the Affordable Care Act – Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) – denounced Obamacare as a “huge train wreck” and then promptly announced his retirement. Why is Obamacare a train wreck? Because it

Sadly, I did not know Andrew Breitbart as well as some others in the Tea Party and conservative movements. Andrew and I spoke on the same Tea Party circuit and at many of the same events in the Tea Party

Rove mentioned that they raised and spent over $300 million. While this is true, when you consider their track record, they wasted the money. Perhaps it is time for Rove’s donors to donate to organizations who can produce a ground game

Ann Coulter, a long-time cheerleader for Mitt Romney, recently trashed the legacy of Ronald Reagan – and Americans who honor the legacy of Ronald Reagan – in a desperate attempt to deflect blame for Romney’s loss away from the candidate,

Beltway media shoe-gazer EJ Dionne is pushing an incoherent (and unintentionally humorous) theory that the Tea Party movement has joined Osama bin Laden as a casualty under the Obama administration. Mr. Dionne is apparently an authority on the Tea Party.
