WATCH: Mother Allegedly Drops 3-Month-Old Baby During Fight

Surveillance video shows a mother in Moultrie, Georgia, allegedly dropping and fatally injuring her 3-month-old baby during an altercation in a parking lot on Friday.

The disturbing footage shows Karen Lashun Harrison, 26, as she continues fighting another woman outside a Thomas Beauty Supply store after the child’s body hits the pavement, WALB News 10 reported.

Both women continue to fight each other as bystanders rush over to stop them. One of the individuals is seen picking the child up off the ground.

Reports state that the baby boy was taken to Colquitt Regional Medical Center on Saturday to be treated for head injuries but died later that day. The child’s body will now undergo an autopsy.

Harrison has been charged with felony murder, first-degree cruelty to children, second-degree cruelty to children, simple battery and affray (fighting).

The mother initially told police that the child received the fatal injuries at home when he fell from the arms of family friend Carneata Clark, 26. Clark reportedly told authorities the same story.

However, Clark was later charged for making false statements and and writings and obstructing and officer for her involvement in the case, police said.

“We investigated the incident and determined the baby did not receive his injuries how it was reported. It was reported to us that the baby had fallen from the caregivers arms and received the injuries. Then we got information that there was a fight,” Moultrie Police Lt. Freddie Williams told WTXL 27.

“This is very disturbing, that two adults would fight in a public place,” Williams added. “Especially while holding a three-month-old child in her arms.”

Williams said the investigation is ongoing and that more arrests are possible. Reports also state that the other woman involved in the initial fight on Friday does not face any charges at this time.

It is unclear at this time whether or not Harrison and Clark have attorneys, according to reports.
