VIDEO: Teacher Tells Teens to ‘Die a Long, Painful Death’ from Coronavirus

A New Jersey high school math teacher was purportedly caught on film telling a group of teens playing in a local park to “die a long, painful death” from the Coronavirus.

In the video, which was captured by a student and later posted on several social media platforms, the woman — who was wearing a gray sweatshirt and walking her dog — told the teens the parks were closed because of the pandemic.

She then asked the teenagers if she needed to scream “loud enough” so they could hear her over their music.

“Park’s closed! You will get arrested if the cops come!” she warned.

“Wait, can we go over there?” one of the kids asked, before the teacher’s apparent anger grew.

“Park’s closed! The whole area,” she says. “Get it through your thick head! You are the reason we are in this situation. You are the problem–not the solution. Go ahead, keep recording. Who are you going to show it to? Post me on social media!”

“You’re the idiot doing the wrong thing. I’m just trying to save your ass and save your life. But die, okay? I hope both of you get the Coronavirus. I hope you both die a long, painful death!”

The teacher was reportedly identified as Nicole Griggs from Steinert High School in Hamilton, New Jersey, who has taught in the district for 15 years, the Trentonian reports.

A freshman student at the high school allegedly dressed-down by the teacher told the Trentonian that he and his friends were playing football on Thursday, April 23, when she screamed from behind a fence.

The freshman told the newspaper that a police officer eventually responded and told the teens to leave without any citations issued.

He added that he was “shocked” that a teacher would say those things.

“When she said that, I was shocked,” he said. “I didn’t know someone would say something like that, especially a teacher. She should be smarter with her words.”

The school superintendent has been made aware of the video and is investigating the incident, according to local reports.
