Texas Congressmen Secure $15B for Harvey Relief Funding

Members of the Texas Congressional Delegation burned the midnight oil with Governor Greg Abbott and leaders of the U.S. House of Representatives to secure nearly $15 billion in disaster relief funding for the state. The funds will be included in an emergency disaster bill that is expected to pass the House on Thursday afternoon.

Trump Approves Federal Emergency Aid for Oroville

President Donald Trump approved federal emergency relief funds Tuesday, following requests by California Governor Jerry Brown. The requests for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) aid pertain to flooding in January and the evacuation effort due to the risk of spillway collapse at the Oroville Dam.
