Gavin McInnes Sues SPLC for Defamation

Conservative commentator and Vice co-founder Gavin McInnes is reportedly suing the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) for “defaming” him, publishing “false, damaging and defamatory statements,” and attempting to “deplatform” him.

Family of Teen Killed in Fiery Crash Sues Tesla

A lawsuit recently filed against Tesla accuses Elon Musk’s car company of negligence following the death of two teenagers and injury of third in a fiery crash in 2017, alleging the company installed a defective battery pack and removed a speed limiter installed in the car.

Former Iranian Hostage Jason Rezaian Testifies Against Iran in U.S. Court

Washington Post writer Jason Rezaian, who was held prisoner in Iran from 2014 to 2016, testified against the Iranian government in U.S. federal court on Tuesday. Rezaian is suing Iran for committing “unlawful acts of terrorism, torture, hostage taking, and other torts” against him and his family and seeks a multimillion-dollar settlement.
