Russia Tells UN: Jewish President of Ukraine Leads ‘Pure Nazis’

The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) held a session on the Russia-Ukraine situation on Thursday, as requested by the United States. The belligerent Russian delegation turned the meeting into a shouting match, at one point accusing the U.S. of putting “nationalists, radicals, Russophobes, and pure Nazis” in charge of Ukraine after the Russia-friendly government was overthrown in a 2014 popular revolt. The current president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, is Ukraine’s first Jewish chief executive.

U.S. Backs U.N. Security Council Emergency Meeting on Israel

After initially blocking a U.N. Security Council meeting on Friday to discuss “the situation in Israel and Gaza,” the Biden administration agreed to participate in such a meeting on Sunday. Secretary of State Antony Blinken hoped the delay would “give time for diplomacy.”

Sunday on New York City WABC 770 AM radio’s “The Cats Roundtable,” former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called for U.N. Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield to resign over recent critical remarks about the United States. Thomas-Greenfield claimed last week at a summit that “the original sin of slavery weaved white supremacy into our founding documents and principles.”
