Watch: High School Football Player Allegedly Rubs Icy Hot on Opponent’s Face

According to CBSNews, a high school football player has been accused of putting his hand in an opponent’s helmet and smearing Icy Hot on his face during the middle of a game.

Angel Salazar, a player for La Canada High School, was playing Salesian High School when the incident allegedly occurred. In the game film, a Salesian player can be seen reaching under Salazar’s face mask and applying the Icy Hot on his face.

“Our player came to the sidelines, and he was covered in Icy-Hot. Covered in his face,” La Canada Principal Ian McFeat told CBS Los Angeles

McFeat said the school is sharing the video and images of the incident with the media in the hopes that this sort of uncalled-for misconduct will cease.

“That’s the kind of substance that if it really got in your eyes, it can do some damage,” McFeat added.

This is now the third major incident that has happened in high school football so far this season, as two high school players in Texas are potentially facing criminal charges for targeting an official, and another is potentially facing criminal charges for hitting an opponent in the head with his own helmet.
