Concealed Carry Holder Stopped ‘Bad Guy’ with Gun, Say Texas Police

Arlington, Texas, Police Department officials (APD) confirmed to Breitbart Texas that the now deceased shooter in Wednesday night’s attack on a sports bar/restaurant was prevented from doing “significant harm causing significant loss of life” by a man with a license to carry a concealed handgun. The gunman entered the restaurant with two “fully loaded handguns” and two knives, according to police.

McLennan County Vows Fight with Texas AG over Concealed Handgun Signs

McClennan County Commissioners are defying instructions by the Texas Attorney General to remove 30.06 signs prohibiting licensed gun owners from carrying a concealed handgun into areas in the courthouse and annex where they are permitted. Texas House Committee Passes Open Carry for Concealed License Holders — Campus Carry on Hold

By a vote of 7-2, the Texas House Committee on Homeland Security and Public Safety passed a bill which will allow Texans with concealed carry licenses to openly carry firearms. The bill, HB 910, authored by Chairman Larry Phillips (R-Sherman), will now move to the House Calendars Committee where it will be scheduled to go to the floor for a vote by the entire Texas House.
