Border Patrol Agent Assaulted in Texas, Shoots Attacker

A Laredo Sector Border Patrol agent used his firearm to defend himself from an attack from a man who illegally crossed the border in South Texas, according to officials. The suspect allegedly assaulted the agent as he attempted to make an arrest.

Stash House Search Finds 51 Migrants in Texas near Border

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents teamed up with state and local law enforcement to shut down a human smuggling stash house near the Texas border with Mexico. The raid on the house located about five blocks from the Rio Grande River led to the apprehension of 51 migrants.

23 Migrants Rescued from Box Trucks at Texas Immigration Checkpoints

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents continue to see an increase in human smuggling activity relating to commercial trucks. Over the Memorial Day weekend, agents assigned to interior immigration checkpoints rescued 23 migrants in two separate incidents who had been locked in the rear of commercial box trucks.

6 Migrants Apprehended in Texas at Border, Smuggler Escaped

Cartel-connected human smugglers led multiple law enforcement agencies on a lengthy vehicle pursuit as they attempted to avoid apprehension. The pursuit ended at the banks of the Rio Grande in Laredo, Texas, and the smuggler, along with five other migrants, fled across the river to Mexico. Border Patrol agents apprehended six others before they could escape.

48 Migrants Found in Two Tractor-Trailer Busts near Texas-Mexico Border

Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents stopped two human smuggling attempts involving tractor-trailer rigs at an interior immigration checkpoint near the Texas border with Mexico. The interactions led to the apprehension of 48 migrants and two U.S. citizens for an investigation related to human smuggling.

Armed Juvenile Human Smuggler Arrested After Pursuit near Texas Border

A Texas juvenile faces multiple state charges related to firearms and human smuggling after leading police and Border Patrol agents on a chase that spanned more than 80 miles. The pursuit ended when the teenage driver crashed his pickup truck loaded with nine illegal immigrants into a concrete barrier.
