No Distractions: Adele Quit Social Media to Write Record-Breaking Album

British singer Adele may be ruling the U.S. music charts, but the 25-year-old “Hello” singer has no aspirations to become the queen of social media. The Grammy award winner revealed during a recent interview with TIME magazine how she was able to cut down on distractions while she worked her record-breaking album “25.”

Bernie Sanders Tops With Time Magazine Readers

Presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) is the winner of the reader’s poll for Time Magazine’s Person of the Year. The Democratic Socialist received 10.2 percent of the vote. In second place was Malala Yousafza, recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize, with 5.2 percent. Pope Francis came in third with 3.7 percent of votes.

State of Texas Executes Cop-Killer by Lethal Injection

Kent William Sprouse, 42 years-of-age, was put to death at 6:33 CST on April 9, 2015 in Huntsville, Texas, for fatally shooting Ferris Police Officer Harry Marvin “Marty” Steinfeldt III. The murder occurred at a Ferris, Texas, Diamond Shamrock gas station and food mart on October 6, 2002. Sprouse is the fifth Texas death row inmate to be executed this year. There were no late-filed appeals to stop the execution.

TLC to Air Transgender Teen Reality Series

TLC will become the latest network to jump into the transgender programming market this summer, with the debut of All That Jazz, a reality show about 14-year-old transgender activist and You Tube star Jazz Jennings.
