Border Patrol agents in Eagle Pass, Texas, and Texas DPS troopers apprehended more than 2,000 migrants by early afternoon on Thursday. These migrants add to the more than 20,000 migrants in U.S. Border Patrol custody along the entire border.

Seven Romanian migrants sustained injuries in a human smuggling car crash after illegally crossing the Canadian border into the state of Washington. The smuggler crashed into a local resident’s vehicle, injuring the occupants.

Texas Department of Public Safety troopers began arresting migrants who breached the razor wire barrier in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Thursday afternoon. During the breach, Breitbart Texas observed small children being pushed under the wire meant to deter illegal migrant crossings.

Border Patrol agents apprehended approximately 7,000 migrants during the past three days, according to sources operating within U.S. Customs and Border Protection. This includes the approximately 3,000 migrants crossing on Wednesday morning.

Up to 3,000 migrants are being staged in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, and are preparing to cross the border into Eagle Pass, Texas, on Wednesday. Breitbart Texas watched as hundreds of migrants began to form groups and crossed the Rio Grande into the United States.

A migrant released by the Biden administration to pursue an asylum claim was arrested by Texas Rangers as a suspect in the murder of a Houston man in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Monday. According to a source within CBP, the murder suspect, Roberto Emilio Vasquez-Santamaria, a 64-year-old Peruvian national, was released by Border Patrol to a non-government shelter in the city on May 9, 2023.

A local non-government church-run shelter forced migrants without sufficient funds to cover their transportation costs out onto the streets of Eagle Pass, Texas. Breitbart Texas spoke to multiple groups of mostly Venezuelan migrants who left the border city on foot, hoping to reach San Antonio — a march of more than 150 miles.

More than 1,500 migrants crossed the border from Mexico into Eagle Pass during the first six hours of Monday morning, according to a source with CBP. This shatters a record for the small Texas border town established last Friday when 1,300 migrants crossed the border in a single day.

Hundreds of illegal immigrants were released into San Diego, California, as Border Patrol agents waved them on to go wherever they wished.

Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 63,000 migrants in the first ten days of September, according to unofficial reports reviewed by Breitbart Texas. This represents a nearly ten percent increase over the same period in August.

The group contained around forty migrants from Peru, India, Ecuador, and several Middle Eastern countries, according to Border Patrol agents who spoke to Breitbart Texas.

As Breitbart Texas observed the Arizona border this week, migrant groups continued to cross into the United States from a host of countries — including some considered by the DHS to be of special interest due to the prevalence of terrorism in that country or hostility to the United States. According to a CBP report reviewed by Breitbart Texas, the arrest of migrants from Mauritania and Egypt at the southwest border rose by as much as 6,000 percent compared to 2022 statistics kept by CBP.

More than 300 migrants walked through open storm drain gates in the border wall just west of Lukeville to surrender to Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents early Tuesday morning. Breitbart Texas watched as the migrants queued at the border wall before walking through the Organ Pipe National Monument Reserve, hoping to gain release into the United States. The group included migrants from several African nations, India, Pakistan, Ecuador, and Peru.

The Arizona desert is becoming a deathtrap for many migrants journeying into the United States. The Tucson Sector has the dubious distinction of being the deadliest in the nation for migrants crossing the border from Mexico.

A single group of nearly 300 migrants walked through gates in the border wall welded open by the Biden administration west of Lukeville on Labor Day morning. The migrants eventually surrendered to Border Patrol agents at a nearby rally point. Breitbart Texas posted along the border in the small town and observed as Border Patrol agents prepared the migrants for transport to a Border Patrol processing center.

Border Patrol agents in the Del Rio Sector found three migrant children who had been abandoned last week by human smugglers along the Rio Grande. Earlier in the week, agents apprehended a large group of migrants that included 26 additional unaccompanied migrant children.

According to a source within CBP, the cost to accommodate the recent spike in migrant encounters in the Tucson Border Patrol Sector is rising rapidly as existing processing facilities reach their capacity. With an operating cost of nearly $7 million each month, one facility in Tucson is undergoing an expansion project to double its capacity to hold migrants. The cost to operate the facility, according to the source, will double as well.

Blaine Sector Border Patrol agents found a group of 29 migrants on a train that crossed the Canadian border into the state of Washington on August 31. The migrants included 28 Mexican nationals and one citizen of Colombia.

A 29-year-old Honduran mother of two died while in the custody of a Biden administration migrant detention center after she crossed the border from Mexico into Texas. The woman had no apparent illness or other affliction prior to being found unresponsive in her cell.

In what has become an almost daily occurrence, a large group of more than 100 migrants crossed the Rio Grande just north of Eagle Pass to surrender to awaiting Border Patrol agents during the early morning hours on Friday. Shortly after 4:00 a.m., Breitbart Texas watched as the large group of mostly family unit migrants approached a rallying point staffed by the Border Patrol, where they surrendered to claim asylum.

Border Patrol officials estimate approximately 590,000 migrants got away without being apprehended after illegally crossing the border. This estimate, described as “extremely conservative,” represents about a seven percent increase over the same period last year.

Border Patrol officials stated that three Mexican nationals assaulted a Swanton Sector agent after the group illegally crossed the border from Canada on August 20. All three face charges of assault on a federal agent.
