During a sermon in Benghazi just days after Ambassador Stevens' murder, a Libyan Islamic preacher called for Muslims to "destroy the rancorous Christians and corrupting Jews."
Speaking from a city balcony on Friday, the man said: "The time has come for us to adopt a firm stance, and to detonate our wrath upon them, with deeds that they will not be able to ignore." He said this can be done by striking "them in their main artery," i.e, "their economy."
He also went through a list of crimes and atrocities supposedly committed by the "rancorous Christians and corrupting Jews," adding that the only offense they had restrained from until that point was mocking Mohammed. It appears he now thinks that has happened too.
The preacher mentioned a boycott as one way to hurt our economy. But he seemed more intent upon "wrath" and "deeds they will not be able to ignore."
