The Curious Case of The Saudi National's Altered Deportation File

Although the MSM has dropped the story, several conservative news outlets continue to report news about the Saudi national who was briefly considered a "person of interest" and was later cleared after the Boston bombing, last week.

Here, at Breitbart, Elizabeth Sheld reported that the night before DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano had vehemently denied the existence of any deportation order, the Saudi, identified as Abdulrahman Ali Al-Harbi, had indeed had his records altered, rescinding his deportation order.

At a bare minimum, even if the Saudi national is only be guilty of being at the wrong place at the wrong time,  the story raises eyebrows because of Napolitano's blatant dishonesty in the matter. Why lie?

At Townhall, Todd Starnes is reporting that, according to his sources, Al-Harbi had been "flagged on a terror watch list and was granted a student visa without being properly vetted."

A source close to the investigation revealed that the Saudi national had been deemed inadmissible under the section of the Immigration and Nationality Act which declares ineligible for a visa – any alien who is engaged in or is likely to engage after entry – in terrorist activity.

At least two additional sources have confirmed to me that the Saudi national is set to be deported as early as this week, contrary to statements made by Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

Glenn Beck and the Blaze have gone further than anyone reporting on this to paint Al-Harbi as a "bad, bad, bad man" who according to documentation in their possession, is linked to the Boston bombing.

On Friday, Beck sent a message to the Obama administration: You've got until Monday to come clean on the Saudi national.

Today, on his radio show, Beck revealed what Elizabeth Sheld reported yesterday - that the Al Harbi's "event file" had been altered, originally calling for him to be deported using section 212, 3B which signifies proven terrorist activity.

“While the media continues to look at what the causes were of these two guys, there are, at this hour, three people involved,” he said.  “The first one is the one we are going to address.”

Beck proceeded to highlight the background of the Saudi national first identified as a “person of interest” in the Boston bombings, Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, noting that the NTC issued an event file calling for his deportation using section 212, 3B which is proven terrorist activity.

“We are not sure who actually tagged him as a ’212 3B,’ but we know it is very difficult to charge someone with this — it has to be almost certain,” Beck explained.  “It is the equivalent in civil society of charging someone with premeditated murder and seeking the death penalty — it is not thrown around lightly.”

More will be coming out on this story in the coming days, Beck promises. Thus far, the mainstream media has hasn't bitten, though Beck claims The Blaze’s Chief Content Officer Joel Cheatwood reached out to numerous other networks in an effort to get the story out.

On his show, this morning, Beck asked his listeners to call their congressmen and media outlets to demand justice be done in this case.
