Former Texas Border Police Chief Found Dead

A former police chief targeted by a federal investigation into the theft of federal border security grant money has been found dead. While details have not been released, authorities in Rio Grande City found the body of Byron “Dutch” Piper Tuesday morning, in what authorities believe to be a suicide.

Leaked Images: One Year Later, Border not Secure, Children Left in Limbo

One year ago, Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby shocked the world by revealing leaked images of immigrant children who were being warehoused in shoddy facilities after being smuggled into the United States from Central America. GUILTY: Texas Border Cop Admits to Human Smuggling

A former Texas border cop with a gambling problem plead guilty to federal human smuggling charges and claimed to have done it several times before. As previously reported by Breitbart Texas , Luis Enrique Guevara, a reserve Cameron County Deputy Constable had been driving Nissan Pathfinder near Robstown, Texas when a police officer pulled him over for speeding and caught him with human cargo. Since his arrest Guevara is no longer a law enforcement officer.

Border Corruption: Texas Border Narcotics Detective Accused of Helping to Steal Drugs

MCALLEN, Texas — A Texas border police detective who worked narcotics cases is facing federal charges after an undercover sting caught him allegedly helping to steal what he thought were 8 kilos of cocaine from the a Mexican cartel. The drugs didn’t belong to the Gulf Cartel, which is the dominant criminal organization in the area, but in fact were planted by federal agents with U.S. Homeland Security Investigations as part of the operation in an effort to capture the detective and his alleged accomplice, court records obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed.

Texas Border Cop Allegedly Transporting Illegal Aliens to Pay Off Gambling Debt

A Texas border county’s reserve deputy constable remains behind bars after federal agents arrested him along with three illegal aliens that he is alleged to have been transporting in his car. Agents with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) arrested Luis Enrique Guevara this week after Robstown Police pulled him over for speeding and authorities learned that he had three illegal aliens from Mexico in his car, court records obtained by Breitbart Texas revealed.

Lawsuit Highlights Political Favors and Retaliation in Texas Border County

A lawsuit being fought in a Texas State Court accuses current and former Texas border county officials of lowering property tax rates for their allies as a way of providing favors within the political elite. The lawsuit was filed in the 381st State District Court by Luis Rios Jr. the former assistant chief appraiser for Starr County Appraisal District. Rios claimed that one of the members of the board of directors pressured him to lower his property tax rate and that of his relatives.

Embattled Texas Border School Board Sued For Retaliation

DONNA, Texas — A newly filled federal lawsuit against a Texas border school board provides even more insight into the actions that in have wreaked havoc in the small community. The lawsuit was filed in federal court by a number of high ranking employees and former employees of the Donna Independent School District (Donna ISD). They claim a series of politically motivated retaliations at the hands of Board President Alberto Sandoval and his two closest allies Tomasa Ramos and Nick Castillo.
