Migrant Rescues Continue as Smugglers Leave Them to Die near Border

Border Patrol agents along the southwest border with Mexico continue to rescue migrants left behind to die by cartel-connected human smugglers. Despite much lower illegal border crossings this year, the rescue of migrants has already exceeded last year’s total, officials state.

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents rescued three migrants who became lost and dehydrated in the desert in two incidents over the weekend. A video tweeted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Acting Commissioner Mark Morgan shows a Border Patrol Search, Trauma, and Rescue (BORSTAR) paramedic agent responding to assist in the rescue.

Border Patrol Finds Tractor Trailer with 12 Migrants Inside

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a group of migrants locked inside a tractor-trailer rig at an interior immigration checkpoint on Highway 86. The human smuggler locked the 12 migrants in the trailer with no air circulation or means of escape.

Two Migrants Saved from Drowning in California Border Canal

El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents rescued two migrants from almost drowning in California border canals near Calexico late last week. The migrants were attempting to illegally enter the United States when they got in trouble with the swift-moving water.

15 Miles of Additional Border Wall Completed in California

Contractors completed 15 miles of a new border wall system in the El Centro Sector of Southern California, Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott announced. Border Patrol agents who work in the sector told Breitbart Texas previously completed sectors reduced crime in the area and made it safer to patrol.
