Israel Releases Fatah Terrorist And Drug Smuggler Back to Syria

TEL AVIV – Israel on Sunday released two Syrian prisoners – a Fatah terrorist and a drug smuggler – to Damascus in a Russian-mediated “goodwill gesture” following the return of Israeli soldier’s remains earlier this month.

TEL AVIV – In a rare move, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s ruling Fatah party said Sunday that it will stand behind its rival Hamas in opposing a U.S.-drafted resolution condemning the terror group at the United Nations General Assembly.
