Police: Man Attempting to Kill Son with Chainsaw Gets Run over by Mower

A Tennessee man who allegedly attempted to kill his son with a chainsaw got run over by a lawnmower, in what might be described as a tale of poetic justice.

Douglas Ferguson, 76, was trying to attack his son with a running chainsaw as the younger man mowed the lawn at a home on U.S. Highway 421 back on June 28, according to a police statement obtained by the Bristol Herald-Courier.
