Bangladeshi Nationals Continue to Cross Texas Border

Border Patrol agents in the Laredo Sector continue to see significant numbers of Bangladeshi nationals illegally crossing the border from Mexico into South Texas. Since the fiscal year began in October, Laredo Sector agents arrested 209 Bangladeshi nationals after they crossed the border.

More Bangladesh Nationals Arrive at Texas Border

Border Patrol agents arrested eight Bangladesh nationals in the Laredo Sector during a two-day period last week. During the month of March, Laredo Sector agents arrested at least 24 after they illegally crossed from Mexico. The Laredo Sector leads the nation in arrests of Bangladeshis who enter the U.S. illegally in South Texas.

Border Patrol Agents Find 38 Migrants Smuggled in Trucks

Border Patrol agents in South Texas discovered 30 illegal immigrants being smuggled in the back of a tractor-trailer at the Falfurrias Checkpoint. The find led to the arrest of men, women, and children who were placed into dangerous conditions in an attempt to sneak through the checkpoint located 80 miles from the Mexican border. Agents found eight more being smuggled in two pickup trucks that were allegedly driven by members of the same family.

Border Patrol Busts 200 in Anti-Human Smuggling Operation

A human smuggling interdiction operation carried out by Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents landed more than 200 illegal immigrants and smugglers in jail. The agents carried out the three-week “Operation Sandman” in the Imperial Sand Dunes west of Yuma, Arizona.

Border Patrol Agents Rescue 32 Migrants in Hot Truck

Border Patrol agents in the Laredo Sector rescued two migrants who became lost while hiking through ranches in South Texas. Agents assigned to an immigration inspection checkpoint discovered 32 foreign nationals packed in the back of a tractor-trailer.

Border Patrol agents assigned to the Laredo Sector rescued 22 illegal immigrants who were locked in the back of a box truck. The agents made the discovery at a Border Patrol checkpoint located between Laredo and San Antonio on Interstate Highway 35.

Former Border State Police Commander Linked to Migrant Kidnappings

Officials linked a former state police commander in Coahuila, Mexico, to several migrant kidnapping cases. The former police investigator allegedly collected protection fees from human smugglers and kidnappers in order to let them operate in her area. The revelations were made public in a recent trial where a court convicted kidnapping gang members for their role in the hostage-taking of several migrants.

Texas AG Confirms Investigation Into Alleged Violation of Sanctuary City Law

The Texas Office of the Attorney General (OAG) confirmed to Breitbart Texas that it is conducting an investigation into a possible violation of the state’s new sanctuary city law by San Antonio Police Chief William McManus.
