Incomplete Smuggler’s Tunnel Found Under Arizona Border

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents teamed up with law enforcement officials in Mexico to uncover an incomplete tunnel near the Port of Nogales DeConcini Crossing. Authorities said smugglers designed the tunnel to move drugs under the border and into Arizona.

$2.5 Million in Meth, Heroin, Cocaine Seized by Feds in Arizona

United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers assigned to the Arizona border with Mexico seized nearly $2.5 million in drugs, including 43 pounds of heroin, during five separate inspections this week. In addition to the heroin, officers seized 240 pounds of methamphetamine, 23 pounds of cocaine, and a quarter-pound of fentanyl for a total value of $2,419,940.

Border Patrol Station Agents Apprehend 270 Migrants in One Day

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents assigned to the Ajo Station in southwest Arizona apprehended nearly 270 migrants in less than 24 hours. The apprehensions illustrate the trend of migrant crossing in the dangerous Arizona desert continues in increasing numbers.

Armed Arizona Mom Took Her Kids on Human Smuggling Run, Say Feds

An Arizona mother, armed with a sidearm, took four children along for a human smuggling ride Sunday evening. The woman appeared to use three of her own children and a 5-year-old nephew as cover while she allegedly attempted to smuggle an illegal immigrant through a Border Patrol inspection checkpoint.

Deported Child Sex Offender Arrested After Re-Entering Arizona

Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents arrested a previously deported child sex offender after he illegally re-entered the U.S. near Lukeville, Arizona. Records indicate a Colorado court sentenced the man to eight years of “intensive supervision” following a 2011 conviction for attempted sexual assault of a child under the age of 15.
