HOUSTON, Texas — The line to get into the evacuation shelter at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston was long and growing, housing 10,000 and over capacity. Breitbart Texas went to the shelter and listened as people told their devastating stories. We also visited near flooded areas to capture victims being brought to safety. Oroville Dam: Jerry Brown Asks Donald Trump for Aid

California Governor Jerry Brown has formally requested federal assistance from President Donald Trump to deal with the evacuation of nearly 200,000 people from the area below the Oroville Dam, where a spillway is near structural failure.

Germany-Netherlands Soccer Match Canceled, Stadium Evacuated

A soccer match between Germany and the Netherlands was canceled less than two hours before it was scheduled to begin, and the stadium in Hannover evacuated, due to unspecified “security concerns.” According to Conflict News, there are now reports that German police “discovered a truck bomb disguised as a rescue vehicle” near the stadium.

Prado Dam Fire near L.A. Triggers Evacuation

On Saturday night, over 300 homes near Chino Hills by the Prado Dam had to be evacuated because of a brush fire rapidly traveling through the area. Jennifer Fuhrman, a spokeswoman for the Riverside County Fire Department, said the blaze was first reported at just after 6 p.m.
