‘Wonder Woman 1984’ Debuts with $16.7 Million

NEW YORK — Despite premiering simultaneously by streaming service, “Wonder Woman 1984” managed the best box office debut of the pandemic, opening with $16.7 million over the Christmas weekend, according to studio estimates Sunday.

HuffPo: It’s Time for the Smug Celebs-Meet-the-Normies Oscars Skit to Die

The left-wing Huffington Post says it’s time “to burn the dumb-ass skits to the ground,” referencing the four-minute stunt during Sunday’s Academy Awards show that saw host Jimmy Kimmel and a horde of actors walk into a theatre to throw candy and hotdogs at moviegoers who were in the middle of watching the Oprah Winfrey-starring fantasy film A Wrinkle in Time, all done as a show of gratitude.
