Israel’s Army Radio: ‘Pause’ 7 a.m. Friday, First Hostage Release 4 p.m. Friday

Israel’s Army Radio announced Thursday morning, citing the foreign minister of Qatar, that a pause in the fighting between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas terror organization would start at 7 a.m. local time on Friday (midnight EST), and that the first group of hostages taken from Israel on October 7 would be returned at 4 p.m. local time (9 a.m. EST). The precise location of the release was not announced for security reasons.

Hamas Claims Truce to Start 10 a.m. Thursday

The Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas claims that a four-day pause in fighting in Gaza will begin at 10:00 a.m. local time on Thursday (3 a.m. EST), as the first hostages will be delivered to Israel, and some Palestinian prisoners are released by Israel.

U.N. Security Council Passes Resolution Demanding Ceasefire in Gaza

Forty days after the savage Hamas atrocities of October 7, the U.N. Security Council (UNSC) on Wednesday passed a resolution demanding a ceasefire and calling for “the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas and other groups, especially children.” The resolution did not condemn the Hamas atrocities that started the war.
