Wasserman Schultz's Anti-Gov't Comment Supporting Tea Party Movement

Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has adopted a quote right out of the less government, more individual freedoms playbook of the Tea Party movement.

“We shouldn’t have to worry that our government will try to intercede in personal health care decisions.”-Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Wasserman Schutlz made the comment after the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill that would ban abortions after 20 weeks.

The left-leaning Sun-Sentinel wrote a that “one of the big stories of this past week was the House passed legislation that would restrict a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions,” and cited Wasserman Schultz’s entire statement regarding her support for a woman’s right to choose.

“It has been 40 years since Roe v. Wade, and yet women still have to fight for the right to keep decisions about our bodies between us and our doctors,” said U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz. “We shouldn’t have to worry that our government will try to intercede in personal health care decisions.

When I think about the kind of world I want my daughters to live in, it’s one where their rights are sacred and their value is recognized, and that means having access to comprehensive sex education, affordable contraception, and safe, legal reproductive services. This bill doesn’t work toward creating a better world for future generations of women. It erodes their future by undermining their independence and undercutting their health.”-Sun Sentinel

So, if Wasserman Schultz is Tea Partyish against government interceding into the “personal health care decisions” of Americans, then she is clearly against Obamacare, considering that Obamacare  ”intercedes” in the health care decision-making process of Americans, by mandating all Americans  have healthcare coverage, right?
