Marlins Say They Have Signed Deal to Sell Team to Jeter Group

MIAMI — Miami Marlins president David Samson says a signed $1.2 billion agreement has been submitted to Major League Baseball to sell the franchise to a group that includes former New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter, and the team expects to close on the deal in early October.
